Section 5, Chapters 15 - 16, The Seven Bowls of Wrath.

A. Chapter 15, Verses 1-4, The Victorious Stand on the Sea of Glass Worshiping God.

    John saw seven angels who had seven plagues in which the wrath of God is finished.

    John also saw those who had come off victorious from the beast standing on the sea of Glass holding harps of God.

    Those who were victorious sang the song of Moses and the Lamb, glorifying and praising God.

B. Chapter 15, Verses 5-8, The Seven Angels Who Had the Seven Plagues Are Given Seven Bowls of the Wrath of God.

    John saw the temple of the tabernacle standing open in heaven.

    John saw the seven angels who had the seven plagues come out of the temple.

    John saw one of the four living creatures give the seven angels seven bowls full of the wrath of God.

    No one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels was finished.

C. Chapter 16, Verses 1-9, Four of the Seven Bowls Poured Out into the Earth.

    John heard a voice from the temple directing the seven angels to pour out the bowls of God's wrath into the earth.

    The first angel poured out his bowl and it became a loathsome and malignant sore upon the men who had the mark of the beast

    The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea and it became blood, and every living thing in the sea died..

    The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood.

    The angel of the waters gave praise to God for the judgement upon the waters for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets.

    John heard the altar praise God.

    The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and men, scorched with fierce heat, blasphemed the name of God and did not repent.

D. Chapter 16, Verses 10-11, The Fifth Angel Poured Out His Bowl.

    The fifth angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened.

    The people of the beast's kingdom gnawed their tongues in pain, blasphemed God, and did not repent of their deeds.

E. Chapter 16, Verses 12-16, The Sixth Angel Poured Out His Bowl.

    The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the river Euphrates, and its water dried up so that the kings of the east might pass over.

    John saw coming from the mouths of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet three spirits of demons.

    The three spirits of demons performed signs to gather the kings of the whole world to Har-Magedon for the war of the great day of God.

    John quotes the prophecy that God is coming like a thief, and blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments.

F. Chapter 16, Verses 17-21, The Seventh Angel Poured Out His Bowl.

    The seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air.

    A voice came out of the temple saying, "It is done."

    There were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder, and an earthquake, such as there had not been since men came to be on earth.

    The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell.

    Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of wine of His fierce wrath.

    Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

    Hailstones weighing one hundred pounds came down from heaven upon men.

    Men blasphemed God because of the plague of hail.
